Ready-To-Eat Split Pea Soup
Eating healthy isn't always easy.
Exhibit A: travel.
Exhibit B: insanely busy days.
Exhibit C: “hell no, I'm not cooking” nights.
This soup is the solution to every single one of those scenarios. A trick borrowed from Dr. Greger's book, this dry soup mix travels well, can be made with hot water from the hotel coffee maker, cooks up in the microwave in just 90 seconds, boasts 16 grams of protein, and is actually quite delicious. We travel with these soups and keep a few stashed in the pantry for days when lunch or dinner is an afterthought. And at less than $2 a serving, you can't beat it! This line of soups, Dr. McDougall's Right Foods, includes many more flavors. The split pea soup is our favorite. Buy them at Whole Foods Market and other grocery stores or simply order a case online here.
