Basic Hummus (oil-free, salt-free)

This basic hummus is a simple, always-on-hand staple that makes instant lunches possible and snacktime more legit.
  • 2 15-oz. cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1⁄4 cup tahini
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon paprika
  • Water (about 1⁄4 - 1⁄2 cup, depending on your preferred consistency)
  1. Add all ingredients except water to a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. While food processor is running, add water a tablespoon at a time until the hummus reaches your preferred consistency.
  3. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
