Happy Summertime! May was all around a good time.
We played with lots of color, lots of produce and unexpected ingredient twists.
We mixed up an easy Spicy Fruit Salad, we put tofu in our Smoothie, and we introduced you to a Classic Blender Green Juice.
We fed our my sweet tooth with date-sweetened (no sugar!) Happy Hippie Cookies and Cocoa Cashew Cream.
These Thai Tempeh Tacos are easily this month’s most popular recipe.
James put our garden bounty to use in his Lemon-Mint Aioli and Spring Man Salad.
And he educated us on umami with his Mushroom-Beet Black Bean Burgers (the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had!).
May also marks our wedding anniverary!
A great time to get to know The Dices a bit better…
- We got married one year ago today… outside… during a thunderstorm… it. was. awesome.
- Our reception was ALL desserts- a little hat trick for our friends and family (I think they expected carrot sticks and tofu)
- Sometimes we read books aloud to each other. We just finished our second reading of Cooked. Up next: The Third Plate.
- We do not own a television (see #3 for what we do instead of TV).
- We’ve been friends since 5th grade.
